In the video, Avila says, "You shouldn't actually have your food in the centre of the dish." "It should be on the edge so it can spin and cook evenly," says the chef.
Another option that can helps, particularly when heating carb-heavy products like spaghetti or pizza, is to use a microwave. Adding a tiny cup of water to the microwave will "keep it hydrated" while also preventing it from being "too crunchy," according to Avila.
